DRUM LESSON: 3:4 & 4:3 Polyrhythm + Metric Modulation

This lesson is rather long and a bit of an experiment, to get an idea of how you like 4-minute lessons compared to 10 minutes. The longer format allows me to go more in-depth, as well as “make something for everyone“. But it requires extra attention. Let me know below what you think. In this lesson, we’ll start out talking about Polyrhythm. -We’ll head into the 3:4 and the 4:3 polyrhythm, breaking them down. -We’ll add Sixteenth Notes with our hands. -We’ll apply Paradiddles to the sixteenth notes. -We’ll modulate from 3:4 to 4:3, and from 4:3 to 3:4. -We’ll finish with a polyrhythmic metric modulation challenge.
