Why Black Women Keep DYING in Childbirth in 2023: a Legacy of Slavery

Did you know that black women in the United States are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than white women? One of the most common forms of maltreatment experienced by black women under slavery was s€xual assault. Slave masters would s€xually abused their slaves frequently, and these black women were forced to bear the children of their molesters. These children were born into slavery, and their mothers would also mistreat and abuse them because of the dark memories the children represent.
