Conservative MP: ’We need to stop Sadiq Khan’

Tom Hunt MP has said “we need to stop“ the Mayor of London after he began a review into historical statues linked with the slave trade across the capital. Speaking to talkRADIO’s Kevin O’Sullivan, the Conservative MP and member of the Common Sense Group said: “What are they looking to achieve? They are trying to get us to a point where we are ashamed to be British. This is at the heart of the Labour Party. It is not a surprise that the most senior elected Labour politician in the country is embarking on this agenda. We need to stand up to him.“ The Mayor of London made a rallying cry for people to take the lead in tackling issues of racism, saying society could not wait for the Government “to understand why this matters”.
