THE PORTSMOUTH CORPORTION TROLLEYBUSES 1963 - A POMPEY JOURNEY BACK IN TIME!

Filmed shortly before the system closed on 27th June 1963, this fascinating film footage shows a bus route from Cosham to Southsea. This is a new and improved version which has been pieced together in order with many improvements and enhancements made. The journey starts in Northern Road, Cosham and winds its way through Hilsea to the Compton road turnaround. It then continues through Copnor, Milton and Eastney before arriving at the seafront and the Guildhall square. The route then carries on to Fratton via Bradford Junction and then back to Milton, finishing outside the White House pub. The landscape has changed significantly in the last 60 years but many areas are still easily recognisable!
