Here is the first detailed picture of the enormous preparation and work ’behind the scenes’.“ Aldershot, Hampshire. Shots of the huge crowd gathered to watch the rehearsal of the Aldershot Tattoo. Behind the scenes, men paint scenery, soldiers put on face make-up and costumes for the re-enactment of a battle between Lord Kitchener and the Dervishes. They rush off into position L/Ss of the battle. The Chief Marshall watches the action from his box. The Highland Brigade march across the ground to the sound of bagpipes. Others troops assemble ’backstage’ before the staging of the pageant of Henry V. Demonstration of a ’modern, mechanised battle’ with tanks and modern soldiers.
