Making a Traditional Puukko

Making of Traditional Puukko Knife A friend of mine called me and told me that he was moving to Lapland later this summer. He asked if I could make a knife for him so I did. I wanted it to be cool and useful knife and decided to do a puukko (actually it is basically the one and only option in Finland) and nice leather sheath to go with it. The steel I used for this knife was high carbon steel made for knife making. The wood in the handle was birch that I found from our firewood pile. I also used brass and leather in the handle. Hope you enjoyed! If you have any questions, ideas or advice feel free to leave a comment!
