Biden departs from Beach Club in Kiawah Island, South Carolina

U.S. President Joe Biden departed on Monday (August 15) from a beach club in Kiawah Island, after vacationing in South Carolina. Video footage showed the President exiting the club surrounded by his security detail and speaking to unidentified people before getting into his car. President Joe Biden enjoyed sunset at the Beach Club on Kiawah Island on Monday night with his son Hunter Biden and daughter-in-law Melissa Cohen joining him. On the final night of his South Carolina vacation, Biden ventured out of the private home, where he is staying for free, to the luxury members-only Beach Club on shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Biden spent a little more than hour at the club, which has an outdoor gazebo, covered porches, several pools and a restaurant with beach views. There’s a boardwalk that leads down to a 10 mile beach. The sun was setting as the president exited the club, where he hugged an unidentified woman. He was followed by his son Hunter and Hunter’s wife, Melissa Cohen. There was no sign of first lady Jill Biden. Several members of the Biden clan joined the first couple on their week-long getaway to the luxury island off the South Carolina coast. Hunter and Melissa had son Beau on the trip and Hunter’s daughter Finnegan, from his first marriage, was also spotted. The Biden family kept a local presence on the island, barely venturing out of their vacation abode, where Secret Service had blocked off the perimeter to ensure their privacy. Jill Biden, Melissa Cohen and Finnegan did enjoy a shopping trip on Sunday afternoon, earlier that day, Finnegan joined her grandparents on a bike ride on the beach. The Bidens are staying for free at a sprawling beachfront estate on Kiawah Island, in one of its gated communitiees. The nine-bed retreat is owned by Maria Allwin, 66, the wealthy widow of New York hedge fund mogul James Allwin and a long-time Democratic Party donor. The 10,500 square foot beachfront property boasts a separate guesthouse as big as a family home and huge saline swimming pool. He leaves Kiawah Island on Tuesday to return to the White House, where he will sign the Inflation Reduction Act into law. Biden traveled to Kiawah Island with his wife, First Lady Jill Biden and other family members after the 79-year-old president recovered from a COVID-19 infection. ........................................................................................
