Restoration - Some PIECE of KNIFE

Hi! Today, the restoration of very rusty objects. Maybe it’s a knife!? They may have been lying underground for more than 100 years, but I want to share with you new techniques and, most importantly, how to restore such items. Let’s start the restoration! The first thing I did was try to remove the thick layers of rust, then I put the items in the rust remover. The next step is cleaning the petrified rust with sand, then with an iron brush and after manual processing. After finishing the cleaning, I coated the surface of the knife with nickel. For the handle, I made overlays of leather and wood with new pins made of hard plastic. I cut off the sheath of the knife (the metal became paper thin), glued it with tape and filled the sheath with liquid gypsum. After drying the gypsum, I plastered the surface of the scabbard twice and covered it with paint. I re-soldered the scabbard suspension with silver. I made a new piece of hardware (quickly).
