Miko Peled Speaking at a European Parliament Roundtable Organized by The Left in Brussels

Activist & author Miko Peled speaking on the astounding hypocrisy and willful ignorance surrounding the Palestinian Genocide, one that did not begin after Oct 7, but has been ongoing for 75 years. January 31, 2024. Miko Peled is an author, writer, speaker, and human rights activist living in the United States. He is considered by many to be one of the clearest voices calling for justice in Palestine, support of the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) and the creation of a single democracy with equal rights in all of historic Palestine. Educated in Jerusalem, Japan and the United States, Miko’s father was a general in the Israeli army. Miko was a member of Israel’s Special Forces, although disillusioned with the military moved from his role as a combatant to that of a medic. After the 1982 war in Lebanon, he buried his service pin. He is the author of The General’s Son: The Journey of an Israeli in Palestine and Injustice: The Story of the Holy Land Foundation Five. Over 25,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israel’s most recent assault on Gaza. Since the beginning of these still unfolding horrors, The Left in the European Parliament has been constantly calling for a ceasefire. Lasting and fair peace in the region must be achieved in line with international law and human rights based on UN resolutions. This event brings together voices from the ground, from Israel and Palestine, advocating for peace based on a two-state solution. The full roundtable can be seen here:
