Women’s League Of Health And Beauty (1930)

Unused / unissued material - no paperwork - dates unclear or unknown. Members of the Women’s League of Health and Beauty perform some of their exercises outdoors in the open air. It is a kind of synchronised PT display. Some of the women also perform more dance type manoeuvres in long diaphanous dress. Yet another group perform an odd little dance numbers. A man speaks to the crowd. Shots of the women marching past (they are singing - sadly the item is mute) A woman sings a song on an outdoor stage (her dress has the initials ’EF’ on it) she might be calling out instructions. Various shots of the crowd - several have umbrellas to protect them against the rain. Two children shelter under a brolly. Shots of the band who are providing music to keep everyone in time. N.B. Although founded as part of the 1930s health fad they are still going strong today - ask Sarah Lee. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
