Woodworking - Making a Guitar Body

Making a strat style guitar body as a gift. For this build the body is made with one piece of poplar sporting a bookmatched spalted birch top. The birch is from a small junk found on the side of the highway by my brother while driving through central Newfoundland and given to me in jest. When i split it open recently out of curiosity i was greeted with a stunning spalted figure and knew it would make a great guitar top. Follow slicwood on Instagram!
