TOCSIN - Zero Tolerance

Purchase the release: Forthcoming on OBSCUUR CHTHONIC EP encapsulated my journey through the international through the underworlds of London, Bali and Berlin. The word Chthonic relates to the Greek idea of the underworld which to me has parallels to the music underground. In these darkened places of freedom is found a space away from the norms of society. This EP celebrates and revels in that darkness. One could even say the underground is a manifestation of the idea of the subconscious and I’ve explored the theme of shamanism directly here…in the tracks “Brujo” and “Arcanum 1.”….Sound related to the concept of communicating with the “Shades”…elementals of the Underworld. Other themes are explored also such as the Post Punk aesthetic in “Night Fall”, 90s rave in “Zero Tolerance” and even Instagram culture in “Influencer” ….but all within the scope of Techno which is having such an interesting impact right now.
