Nearly six months after the mysterious explosions, Moscow may ask the west to pay up for damages on the Nord Stream pipelines. Citing a Russian diplomat, RIA Novosti reported that Russia may seek compensation over damage from last year’s explosions on the Nord Stream pipelines. In September 2023, the pipelines that supplied gas from Russia to Germany under the Baltic Sea were hit by mysterious explosions. Russia has been pushing for an independent international probe at the UNSC, but its demands have been rejected by the West. Months later, the blame game between Moscow and the West over sabotage is still on.
