Full title reads: “Cruz Del Sur, Cuba. A whole Town wiped out. - and thousands killed or drowned as cyclone and tidal wave sweep all away in their path.“ Cruz Del Sur, Cuba. Pan across devastated town of Cruz Del Sur - there is not a building left standing - just bits of wood rising out of the receding water. A marooned boat sits high and dry having been lifted out of the water by the winds and tides. It is three miles inland A damaged car sits half submerged in a pool of water. L/S of smoke rising. Voiceover says that it is coming from the burning of the corpses of the dead. Shots of the axles of broken railway wagons. Smashed trucks - one labelled ’Cuba’. Scenes of devastation in Japan where a typhoon hit - Japanese characters on one of the buildings identify the change of location. A Japanese woman walks through the shot.
