Namsaknoi vs Lamnammoon Sor Sumalee - Full Fight | Namsaknoi Muay Thai

Lamnammoon Sor Sumalee was one of the Muay Thai idols I looked up to earlier in my professional fight career. He was known for his vicious, sharp knee strikes, that the Thai media nicknamed him “Khun Khao Weetaan” – translated to “The Vampire of Knees”. He was fascinating to watch and I had a lot of respect for him. So naturally when I was offered to challenge him for the Super-featherweight title belt at the Lumpinee Stadium, I was very excited. I was going to fight my idol! The man whom I’d watched and read so much about in the media. I trained extremely hard, and studied all of his past fight videos that I could get my hands on. Were there nerves going into the fight? Of course. But I was determined not to let it cloud my mind. This is a sport. I had worked hard and been honest in my training, it didn’t matter who I was facing in the ring. I had a duty, I fight to win. It was a very hard fight. Lamnammoon was relentless in the clinch, his knees stabbed into my body like blades. But in the 3rd round, I managed to catch him with a few sharp elbows that did enough damage to end the fight.
