Jerry The Troublesome Tyke - Jerry Tracks The Treasure (1926)

Animation. A . production featuring “Jerry the Troublesome Tyke“ - a cartoon dog. Jerry is stranded on a desert island. He comes across Robinson Crusoe. Crusoe’s parrot pecks Jerry’s finger so he plucks it from its perch and swings it around by the tail. Crusoe is listening to a radio set through headphones. Jerry borrows the headphones and dances to some music. He then walks off, smashing the radio by accident as he does so. Jerry almost falls off a cliff. He takes out a buried treasure map, he dreams of all the riches he will acquire, money, a car, a big juicy bone. He heads off in search of the booty and falls into a hole where he finds a casket. In the casket is a wishing ring - he demands to be taken home. Suddenly he finds himself outside a pawnbrokers, he walks in. We then see Jerry strolling down the street wearing Oxford Bags, a monocle and a Top Hat. He is carrying a cane and smoking a cigar. Was probably an item in Pathe Pictorial issue 392.
