Shenma Survilma Damlia / შენმა სურვილმა დამლია

Instrumental version of a Georgian song that was first published (and, I suppose, written by): Lela Tataraidze in 2000 on her album “Janghi Morning Fog“. The original version and most covers are sung in three-part harmony with lyrics from Georgian poets Vazha-Pshavela (1861-1915) & Mikha Khelashvili (1900-1925). I first heard this song at the home of the Mirziashvili family (who make up the Georgian Folklore Ensemble “Ananuri“) and it has stuck in my head since then. Thanks to Koba M. for pointing out composer and lyricist for this beautiful song. I used my Santana acoustic guitar and Logic Pro to play the rhythm guitar, three part melody and bass lines in this interpretation. - my videos from Georgia: - #georgianmusic #gregorscapades
