Belgium: NATO calls on Russia to ’respect’ Turkish airspace

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called on Russia to “fully respect NATO airspace and to avoid escalating tensions with the Alliance,“ after a meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioglu at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Monday. Stoltenberg also announced that he would be convening a meeting of the North Atlantic Council later on Monday to discuss the situation. The meeting between Stoltenberg and the Turkish Foreign Minister was called at Turkey’s request after a Russian militar
