The Chateau Diaries 091: Scotland the Brave

The Elusive Nic and I went on an awfully big adventure to Scotland. We immersed myself in the world of Scottish Castles, visiting Doune Castle - the location of Outlander and Game of Thrones, and staying at the stunning Inverlochy Castle in Fort William, on our way to our friends’ country house near Dundee. Many of you have asked about Nic, as he’s the friend that I bought the Chateau de Lalande with 14 years ago, yet he’s never seen on Escape to the Chateau DIY! As you’ll be on this week’s video, he’s very shy and doesn’t appear on social media ;) The holiday was a whirlwind of waterfalls, tartan, fine dining, stunning scenery, and a rather stubborn black forest gateau... And on my return to London I had the joy of finally meeting Erin from the beautiful Chateau de Bourneau. Although we’ve chatted many times on Instagram, we’d never met in person. We had so much in common, and shared the ups and downs of being chatelaines in the modern world 💛🏰&
