Healthy Eating Habits: The 20 Minute Rule

Healthy eating habits are important. After eating, the body can take 20 minutes to recognize it is full. Selena Singh, a trainee from McMaster University’s Centre for Metabolism, Obesity and Diabetes Research (MODR), worked with Dr. Katherine Morrison and staff at MCH’s Children’s Exercise and Nutrition Centre to explain how eating slowly and waiting a few minutes before having seconds can promote healthy eating habits.
