Arrests In Georgia Russian Tourist Liner Protests At least two people were detained at a rally against the arrival of the Astoria Grande cruise ship from Russia at Georgia’s port of Batumi, according to local media reports. The protest reportedly began around midnight - six hours before the liner was due to arrive - and was also allegedly attended by representatives of political parties. Some began hurling eggs and plastic bottles at buses carrying tourists away, while Astoria Grande will now no longer dock at Batumi according to the company’s sales website.
