I feel pretty crappy about that as she was telling us how part of her family was here at the show and that her cousin had brought her the flag that she then hangs on the front of her keyboard. I really screwed that up. My focus was on experiencing the show, so please forgive those errors along with losing the angle multiple times during; the ceiling shots being the worst of them. Also, I hadn’t thought of filming this until right before it started. This was my first time attempting to film an entire show and I hadn’t filmed much of anything up to this point. I didn’t really know what I was doing. And it clearly shows! Plus, although we had a good spot on the balcony* directly above and slightly to the left of the soundboard, there was also a smoke machine mounted right below us which adds to the “foggy-ness“ of the picture. I take that as a sign that the universe knew to give it a Victorian London atmosphere. (*My anxiety was also slightly heightened, which probably contributed to my bumbling filming attempt: TLDP came out onto the balcony, to the right of us, to watch Mother Mary. At one point I saw Aurora waving in our direction and trying to get someone to “come over“. She was clearly looking at me. Right? Delusional, foolish thinking? Of course it was! But then, she started walking our way and my heart rate raced to 1000 BPM! In just a few seconds, she was right behind us and my BPM instantly went from 1000 down to zero as I’m pretty sure I was about to have a heart attack. Disappointingly, but obviously, not surprisingly, she was not coming to get me; she grabbed a group of people slightly behind us and walked them over to the area where the band was standing. We would find out during her intro to Gjuha that it was a part of her family that lives here in the US.)
