We’ll get some practice with path operations, manipulating text, and with vectorizing images using the Trace Bitmap dialog to add texture to our artwork. The font I use in the video is Retro Jump: The concrete texture I use is located here: (I downloaded the 1920x1280 version, but for less of a lag, you can try the 1280x853 or the 640x426 versions.) ► Check out the Inkscape courses (and more!) here: (or on Skillshare: Inkscape is a free and open-source alternative to Adobe Illustrator, and you can download it here: Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 00:09 Download and install font 01:08 Snap path to rotation center of background 02:23 Mirror path on background 04:01 Cut parts of paths with Intersection operation 04:56 Add some text 05:58 Turn text into path 06:52 Outset path 07:31 Create shadows for text 07:44 Fix parts of shadows 09:58 Import texture 10:21 Turn texture into path with Trace Bitmap 11:17 Apply texture to poster 11:41 Try different brightness levels to change texture appearance 11:57 Outro
