Making a Juniper Bark Roof for the Adobe Hut (episode 34)

Then I built a simple wood shelter and eventually added adobe brick walls to make a better shelter. Now the frame of the roof is complete and it’s time to cover the roof with juniper bark. There are no palms, reeds or long grasses here to use instead. Juniper bark is abundant and easy to collect from dead and dying juniper trees so it seems to be the logical choice for the roof. I will test this roof out to see how well it retains heat and repels rain. This series will be ongoing so be sure to stay tuned for the next video. *Turn on captions to see subtitles in other languages. *Please subscribe and enable notifications.
