🇮🇹 I pronomi diretti e il verbo avere
Perché la risposta alla domanda “Hai la penna?” è “No, non ce l’ho”?
Quando usiamo i pronomi diretti (lo, la, li, le) con il verbo avere come verbo principale che indica possesso, dobbiamo usare anche il pronome “ci”.
“Ci”, in combinazione con i pronomi diretti, si trasforma in “ce”.
Dato che il verbo “avere” comincia sempre con una vocale o con la lettera “h”, i pronomi diretti singolari, “lo” e “la”, diventano “l’ “.
Quindi:
“Hai il foglio?”- “Sì, ce l’ho”
“Hai i fogli?” - “Sì, ce li ho”
“Hai la penna?” - “Sì, ce l’ho”
“Hai le penne?”- “Sì, ce le ho”
Questo è il link al nostro video sui pronomi diretti (lo, la, li, le):
Potete usare i nostri video anche per imparare nuove parole. Scrivete le parole che incontrate di volta in volta e il vostro lessico diventerà sempre più ricco!
Why do we say: “Hai la penna?” - “No, non ce l’ho”? = “Have you got the pen?”- “No, I haven’t (got it)”
With the direct object pronouns (lo, la, li, le) and the verb “avere” indicating possession, we have to add “ci”. “Ci”, combined with “lo, la, li, le”, becomes “ce”.
Since the verb “avere” always starts with a vowel or the letter “h”, the singular direct object pronouns (“lo” and “la”) become “l’ “.
Therefore, we have:
“Hai il foglio?”- “Sì, ce l’ho” = “Have you got the paper?”- “Yes, I have (got it)”.
“Il foglio” is masculine and singular so we replace it with “lo” which becomes “l’” because “ho” starts with an “h”. Then, we have to add “ce”.
“Hai i fogli?” - “Sì, ce li ho” = “Have you got the papers?”- “Yes, I have (got them)”.
“I fogli” is masculine and plural so we replace it with “li”and we add “ce”.
“Hai la penna?” - “Sì, ce l’ho” = “Have you got the pen?”- “Yes, I have (got it)”.
“La penna” is feminine and singular so we replace it with “la” which becomes “l’” because “ho” starts with an “h”. Then, we have to add “ce”.
“Hai le penne?”- “Sì, ce le ho” = “Have you got the pens?”- “Yes, I have (got them)”.
“Le penne” is feminine and plural so we replace it with “le” and we add “ce”.
