Guys ’n’ Dolls was founded in 1974 as an answer to ABBA. They scored some hits, of which ’You’re My World’ even became a number 1 hit. The band consisted of members Paul Griggs (1944), David Van Day (1956), Thereza Bazar (1957), Dominic Grant (1949), Martine Howard and Julie Forsyth (1958). After Bazar and Van Day left the group in 1978, they achieved great success in Britain as the duo Dollar. With Griggs, Howard, Grant and Forsyth, Guys ’n’ Dolls continued his way. In 1980 the band moved to the Netherlands, where they started working with record producer Gerard Stellaard. Guys ’n’ Dolls fell apart in 1985, after which Grant & Forsyth continued as a duo and scored some hits This Toppop recording was first broadcast on 30 August 1977.
