Jack & Sandie || Joke’s On You [Last Night In Soho]

THAT. MOVIE. GOD. Okay, so, I watched that movie some nights ago, motivated to do it because it interested me since some times... and because Matt Smith had a big role in it and that I kinda fall in love with that actor since House of the Dragon happened in my life (HE’S HOT AND I WILL STAND FOR IT UNTIL MY LAST BREATH) and god, what a slap I took in the face with that MOVIE. I just adored it. Everything about it. The aesthetic, the writing, the suspense, the colors, the music, the direction, the actors, the cabaret style of the 60s, the horrifying side... I have rarely seen a film so impressive and perfect at all levels. Frankly, if you want a good horror movie for Halloween, nothing too scary but clever, gripping and amazing, I can only advise you to watch it! Well, as always, I fell for the movie’s toxic ship. For once, we are really on a very high level of toxicity, close to my limit, in truth, but the aesthetic is so good (and... Matt Smith) that well, I ship. SPOILER for the film, Ellie, a young girl who seems to have the power of seeing ghosts, go to London with the dream of becoming designer. When she moves into an old room, she start to see the ghost of a young woman from the 60s, Sandie, and discover her life through her dreams. Sandie is a young woman who arrives in London in the 60s, hoping to become a star. For this, she goes to meet Jack, who has contacts, and succeeds in attracting his attention. At first everything is happy and wonderful and they begin a relationship, with Jack promising her fame and giving her all the attention she craves. He will end up, little by little, showing his true face and forcing her into prostitution, using her, selling her to men for his personal interest, ruining her life. Until the day when Sandie has had enough, during a night when he is violent with her, and where she kills him. Before killing all the men who raped her. Yeah, dark, really dark, but I MEAN THEIR AESTHETIC OKAY THEIR GODDAMN AESTHETIC. And I just love how they end so much (he deserved to die by her hand, a thousand times over, like all of the others, I stan Sandie so much for what she did). Anyway, just a great movie that I loved, and a toxic couple that I wanted to edit, and this song inspired me for them. I hope you enjoy, it was very fun to edit!
