I am going to restore an American made, Murray brand pedal car. After researching, I have found out that these pedal cars were first made in 1949. And this model is called Commet or Torpedo. So it has two names. I think I am going to call it Commet. Actually Murrat Commet resembles of the name 1952 Buick Super Convertible. The three holes inside the left and right fenders can be found on both Commet and Buick Super. 50’s classical and aesthetic body lines can be seen on this unique car. I started with demoing the car. Paint on the main body was worn off and corrosion has started on some places. After degreasing and cleaning, with the use of paint stripper and sandblasting I got body clean. Thus I could see all the deformations on it. With the use of planishing hammer and anvil, I fixed those. To prepare for painting I
