The Most Tragic Comic I’ve Ever Read | The Crow | An Analysis

Today we take a look at O’Barr’s masterpiece The Crow. After the tragic death of his fiancée James O’Barr started illustrating The Crow as a form of therapy to help express his feelings of grief and anguish. Years after the release of the comic book, Miramax would release The Crow starring the late Brandon Lee. Brandon Lee, son of action movie star legend Bruce Lee, died tragically on the set of The Crow. After the release of The Crow, critics and fans alike praised Lee’s performance as the film’s protagonist Eric Draven. The Crow is one of my favorite stories of all time. It helped me a lot emotionally at the time. I have wanted to talk about this story for a long time, but I never had the platform to do it. But now I do, and this is what I did.
