Blue Oyster Cult Dr. Music with Lyrics in Description

Track 1 from their sixth album “Mirrors” released in 1979 copyright Columbia Records. Most songs on this album showed the band’s other musical influences and not their usual style of hard rock and early heavy-metal. This may have been an attempt to create a more commercial sound to reach a wider audience. This was their first album not to feature the production team of Murray Krugman and Sandy Pearlman and was the first for new producer Tom Werman. It received only average reviews and reached No. 44 on the Billboard album chart. Michael Moorcock, the British fantasy and science-fiction author co-wrote “The Great Sun Jester” with the band. Written by Joe Bouchard, Donald Roeser & Richard Meltzer and produced by Tom Werman. RIP Allen Lanier.
