Effortless DIY: Thrift Flip a Silver Tray into Romantic Table Decor
Happy Valentine’s Day, IOD family! 💖 Today’s all about love, but who says it’s only about chocolates and flowers? Let’s sprinkle some of that love on one of our recent thrift scores - a tarnished silver tray. This one is so simple and quick but equally lovely!
You’ll paint your tray with your paint of choice (we used chalk paint) - you’ll probably need several coats to get a nice opacity. Once your paint is fully dry, you’ll apply your transfer of choice. We’ll be applying this darling scene with a little girl in her bonnet, with romantic roses trailing up the side - don’t you just love that vintage typography?
You’ll finish with a top coat in the finish of your choice (we used a flat-out matte). Now, where should we put this little cutie? Wouldn’t it be adorable on a tea table? Or a coffee table vignette?
