OUR ALLEY (1923) - Bobby Dunn (Atlas Films style!)

I must confess I’m a bit of a quality fanatic. I’m sure you agree that we’re more inclined to enjoy a film to it’s fullest potential, if we can see it in it’s purest sharpest form and at the right speed too! In the case of Atlas films (“the dollar bin of 8mm“), it just goes to show how wonderful these films are, in that they still managed to gather and inspire a growing audience of fans, even when distributed in the most awful dupey ’n cruddy prints possible. I heartily recommend Michael Hayde’s Atlas Films presentation on You Tube, which also inspired me to dig out the only Atlas Film I own (well, I am in the UK!). It’s a Bobby Dunn - in fact TWO 100’ Bobby Dunn’s stuck together, the second half was called ’VAGABONDS’ and the first section was ’OUR ALLEY’, which, I discovered, happened to be the actual name of the original film, released in 1923 by Arrow. So sit back, squint your eyes and endure the following 10 minutes of dupe fest&#
