Rocket Powered Test Flight of Virgin Galactic ’Unity 22’ Spaceflight

Virgin Galactic are scheduled to perform a rocket powered test flight of the VSS Unity spaceplane with a crew of six onboard. This will be the first time the craft carries a full compliment of crew in the passenger cabin, amongst the crew will be Richard Branson. Live video is expected to begin at 13:30 UTC on Sunday, July 11th 2021 covering takeoff of the White Knight Two carrier airplane with VSS Unity, the flight up to around 45,000 feet and then release and ignition of the rocket motor onboard VSS Unity. VSS Unity will travel to around 300,000 feet at Mach 3 and experience around 4-5 minutes of weightlessness before descending down for a landing at the Mojave Air and Space Port.
