Fly Tying: Hot Spot Spider (soft hackle)

Featured in this fly tying tutorial is the Hot Spot Spider, a slight variation of the classic. Spiders, also commonly referred to as soft hackles, typically consist of thin silk thread bodies and sparse amounts of hackle from varying game birds.
