Watercolor Painting of Lupita Nyong’o

Here is how I paint dark skin--and Lupita Nyong’o is a beautiful subject! Dark skin takes time and multiple layers to achieve, but the value range from white to almost black is wonderful to work with. I admire Lupita so much, and I love this quote from her, “No matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid.“ Production note: my camera’s focus freaks out from time to time in this video, and it has something to do with its many settings.
