Yersinia pestis - The Plague : Microbiology Lectures The Plague, The Black Death, The Plague of Justinian they are all caused by the bacteria known as Yersinia pestis. In this video, we take a look at the bacteria itself, the different presentation of the disease (Bubonic, Septicemic, and Pneumonic).
