5 Adulation of Venus : Tannhäuser

This leitmotif is first heard in the overture. This sprightly, almost march-like theme sings a fanfare to Venus. It is later heard prominently as the the tune which Tannhäuser sings to Venus with accompanied by his harp, in this context, slowed down slightly, it again takes on the quality of a hymn to Venus.
