Margalef is a tiny village in the Catalonia region of northeast Spain. It’s surrounded by cliffs made of conglomerate, a type of sedimentary rock composed of smaller rocks, minerals and other materials squished together and hardened over millenia. As it turns out, conglomerate can be full of pockets and when it is you are looking at some fantastic climbing walls.
