US isolation grows amid international scrutiny: Marwan Bishara

It’s day four at the UN’s top court for public hearings on the impact of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories. China, Ireland, Iran, and Jordan are among a host of countries that say Israel’s nearly six-decade-long occupation is a flagrant violation of international law. China’s representative told judges that Israel’s practices severely undermine the rights of the Palestinian people. Ireland’s attorney general told the court Israel has exceeded the limits of self-defence following the October 7 attack. Iran’s representative listed a series of measures to the court, that he says constitute Israel’s ongoing violations Jordan’s Foreign Minister has told judges there can be no peace until Israel’s occupation ends. Marwan Bishara, Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst, analyzes international response to Gaza conflict, highlighting growing support for Palestine and isolation of US-Israel alliance.
