The Faculty REMAKE (Robert Rodriguez Producing) Coming Soon?

Daniel RPK reports that Robert Rodriguez is producing a remake of The Faculty. The Alien Invasion High School cult classic from the late 90s was penned by Kevin Williamson, but who would this new take be penned by and what creative differences would be included to make the story appeal to modern audiences? A legacy sequel to The Faculty with Josh Hartnett and his co-stars would be the preference for some and perhaps this is going to be a legacy sequel as time goes on, but the report calls it a remake.
