The RUTHLESS Execution Of Lord Haw Haw

One of the most shocking traitors during the Second World War was William Joyce, Lord Haw Haw. He was a British fascist who defected to the Nazis and Germany, and with this he worked with Joseph Goebbels in creating radio broadcasts. He would try to demoralise the British population but his broadcast Germany Calling would ultimately be laughed at by the British. But at the end of the conflict, the British would capture Lord Haw Haw. He was then brought to trial as he was convicted of treason. There was debate around this as it was claimed he was not a British subject, however William Joyce was sentenced to death. Inside of Wandsworth Prison, he would be executed on the gallows by Albert Pierrepoint and his execution was the last in Britain for treason.
