The general idea of the video was: showing the warmth and coldness this two are giving each other throughout the first season and one tiny piece of second season. They start with more coldness and slowly, but surely move towards making each other happy just by being together. “Right now I can’t be what you want“ - Xiangliu clearly sees, that he has to change his attitude towards Xiaoyao if he wants to see her smile in his company. And he does it, he makes this step in her direction and the payoff is incredible! He can finally see the woman he loves smile sincerely and happily because of him. “But you can’t give me what I want“ - Xiaoyao wants to have someone, who won’t be bound to any duties and debts and will just be with her, no matter what happens. She sees, that Xiangliu is not going to leave everything behind for her and treats it as if he doesn’t want to. Could they meet in the middle? Could Xiangliu openly confess his love and give Xiaoyao a choice to be with him, knowing, that he can’t abandon his duty? We can only guess. I made some parts different from the shorts I posted earlier, just to show more of the scenes I found suitable. P.S.: Sorry for the quality of the very last seconds of the clip - I couldn’t find the trailer in better resolution, but the scene just had to be there.
