This is TV version of the newsreel story ROYAL FILM PERFORMANCE in Pathe News 54/90. Empire Leicester Square, London. Title reads “The Royal Film Performance - Described by Jack Hawkins“. Empire, Leicester Square - crowd around the entrance. Cars slowly drive to the entrance, stars appear - looks like a classic film premiere. This one is different. Apart from stars Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh) and Princess Margaret will arrive later to chat with stars and see the film “Beau Brummel“ - this is a yearly show for the Royals. Jane Russell and Stewart Granger are seen getting out of car and waving to public before entering the Empire. More stars arrive, Shelley Winters, Anna Neagle, Jane Russel.
