How did Alastor defeat the other Overlords?

Did you know this in Hazbin Hotel? During episode 5 mimzy explains alastors backstory, where we get a flashback showing how he rose to fame. Once he showed up he began killing off overlords, and broadcasting their voices over the radio for everyone to hear. We don’t know the names of any of these overlords but they all have really cool designs. My question is how did alastor kill these overlords? As you might know once sinners are killed they simply respawn, except when they’re killed by angelic weapons. Alastor doesn’t appear to use these weapons. My only guess is that he trapped these overlords in some sort of limbo or another realm. They could either sign a deal with him like husk and nifty, or end up trapped in this realm forever, only able to scream which is probably a worse fate than death.
