A Glorious Early Morning Walk in a Cotswold Village, Woodland & Countryside

So, today we are out and about walking in the Cotswold village of Sherborne which is located nearly 3.5 miles east of Northleach in Gloucestershire, England. Sherborne is a civil parish in it’s own right and was first mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 under the spelling of ’Scireburne’, which means ’bright stream’, which is a direct reference to the Sherborne Brook which pretty much runs parallel with the village as the village is very linear in it’s shape. The village parish church is dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene. Its bell-tower & spire were built sometime during the 13th - 14th century. The church is next to Sherborne House. There is a village shop, tea room and an outreach post office. This walk is split into two parts, the second part comes after the woodland trail walk, so please do not switch off when the screen blackens to fade into part 2. And why in two parts....?
