Anton Karas - Der Dritte Mann (The Third Man) Harry Lime Theme

The original version in the movie was Anton Karas playing solo but this version with additional instruments was released as a single and was the biggest hit on the 1950 Cash Box 100 staying number 1 for 11 weeks. While the original is more haunting and perfect for the movie, this version which I have over-dubbed onto an old video performance has wider appeal while still showcasing Anton Karas’ zither genius in both composition and performance.
