My Off Grid, Alaskan Log Cabin, Sauna Project - Part 4: The Benches and Shower
Welcome to my remote sauna project! This is the final video of this 4-part series. In this video I am working on the interior of the sauna, building the cedar benches and installing an off-grid shower system.
The benches were designed on the fly as I built them. There are probably ways to improve them, but I am pleased with the final product and don’t know of any changes I would make at this time.
The shower is also my own design. It is built to self-drain after every use so it can freeze without damaging the copper piping. The pressure pump is able to be easily disconnected and drained as well. The compete shower is simple, low-cost, easy to install, and most importantly,,, it works wonderfully!
