César Cui: Introduction to the opera “William Ratcliff,“ reorchestrated in MIDI

The orchestral introduction to César Cui’s opera “William Ratcliff,“ composed 1861-1868, and premiered in 1869 at the Mariinsky Theatre. The libretto is based Heinrich Heine’s tragedy of the same name. The orchestration here (with MIDI sounds) is based on instrumental indications in the arrangement for piano, 4-hands, in the piano-vocal score of 1869, which is showing in the video.
