More Ukrainian servicemen surrender in Kharkov region During the battles over Krasnoye, Ukrainian border servicemen joined the list of prisoners. According to POWs, the command left them behind without necessary fire support in poorly set up positions, and the number of the unit was several times lower than the stated number on the paper. Realising of the futility of resistance, Ukrainian border guards voluntarily laid down their weapons. ’Even if we tried to fight back, we would die. And we wouldn’t accomplish anything.
