MEETING MESSI!!!!!

I met Messi at my resort in Turks and Caicos!!!!! LINK TO RESPONSE TO VIRAL VIDEO: My channel died back in my high school days. I was randomly told by a friend that this video was recommended to him, and it was getting crazy views! I Love all the comments, lol! I have decided to give a short description to give some context. I went down to Beaches Turks and Caicos in 2015 and heard some kids on the beach talking about a post on Twitter with Messi at the resort I was staying at. Sure enough, I went into shameful complete stalker mode, haha, checking recent posts of him and what-not. I heard this British kid Alex saying that he knew what pool Messi was at. I approached him, and we went to go and find Leo. We spotted him with his dad and his kids casually chillin’ by the poolside in a cabana. We sat at a table for 45 minutes, mustering up the courage to approach him. In the meantime, we saw about one or two people go up to him and ask him for photos. He kindly obliged and went on with his leisurely pool day. Right before we went to ask him for a picture, a kid came went up to him. Without realizing someone was approaching him, Messi turned and walked in the other direction. Messi accidentally snubbed the poor kid, and my English mate and I were mortified. I know that for a fact, it was a complete accident. However, Messi is an actual class act and accepted any photos with his fans during his whole two-week stay. To be honest, people surprisingly left him and his family alone. There were no mobs of crazy fans; just a few people a day would go up and ask for his picture. Anyway, when the moment came to ask for a photo, I believe I asked him in Spanish, and the rest was history. I gave a natural English thank you because of my nervousness. It was one of the most surreal moments of life. To stand next to such a legend on his lowkey day off gave me some perspective. He was a man, 5 foot 7 inches, and letting his beard grow in on his vacation. He reclined with his large family of 20 and lived his life as an actual human being. For all of you in the comments asking, I took a video because I knew that there would be no way anyone would believe a photo to be authentic. Additionally, I was also filming a compilation of my vacation for a video at the time. Nervous, I gave an English “thank you“ and walked away feeling as if I was floating on air. I did not want to disturb the man anymore, and I tried to keep my distance for the remainder of my trip. Unfortunately, after turning a corner a few days later, I physically ran into him as he was carrying his first child, who was a baby at the time. He was so shocked, and I started to see his guard approaching. I gave an awkward “Lo Siento Messi“ and ran off, hahaha. The whole time I was filming my trip to make a “cool“ video for my 15-year old self’s youtube channel. It was safe to say that I got the best footage possible to include in my GoPro compilation video of my vacation. It was an exceptional experience to meet the greatest footballer of all time. I have nothing but massive amounts of respect for Lionel Messi and his kind and welcoming family.
